Fetch & Fable isn’t just a property; it’s the realization of a dream.
Tucked within twelve wooded acres just a few miles from Crooked Creek Lake in Armstrong County, it’s now home to Rachel, her family, dogs and other pets, as well as the many creatures that share the land! She’s working hard to build a place where all dogs, even those with big feelings, can breathe, learn, and find peace. Every part of Fetch & Fable is being designed with purpose, rooted in the belief that learning should be kind, the environment should heal as much as it teaches, and progress should always honor the individual. It's a place where method and meaning intertwine, where skill becomes connection, and where the stories between people and their dogs are still being written.
 

The first chapter began in mid-October. As soon as Rachel moved in, Fetch & Fable opened for on-site outdoor private sessions. The property needed a great deal of cleanup, there’s still some wildness left in the land that will take time to tame, but the work began right away as clients started arriving.

By November, things were in full motion, even if there was still so much cleanup work to do. The story grew to include on-site behavior consultations, group classes, indoor sessions, and our drop-off hiking adventure known as the Nose Quest. We also introduced both our Lodge & Learn and Lodge & Leisure programs. These lodging options are intentionally limited to just two kennels within our intimate learning space, allowing dogs to rest, regulate, and rebuild confidence in structured, supportive ways, all while living alongside us in our home. This is not typical boarding! 
 

Lodge & Learn is an amazing and immersive experience for dogs who need a little more. Dogs stay on-site in a calm, structured environment where their days are thoughtfully balanced between learning, enrichment, and rest. Instead of overwhelming drills, learning is woven into natural routines, whether that’s practicing calm behavior before meals, working on manners, building confidence on the trails, or rehearsing relaxation skills. Because Fetch & Fable is rooted in actually understanding canine behavior, Lodge & Learn isn’t a “quick fix” or a boot camp. It’s about giving dogs the chance to practice new skills in real-life contexts, with the consistency and patience they need to truly absorb them. Owners are included in the process through transfer sessions, so the learning carries home and becomes part of everyday life.
 

Lodge & Leisure is designed for dogs who benefit from a change of scenery, extra enrichment, and the kind of thoughtful care that goes beyond standard boarding. While staying on-site, dogs enjoy structured downtime, nature walks, puzzle play, and hands-on enrichment activities tailored to their needs. Each day offers opportunities to explore, sniff, and relax in ways that help dogs decompress and recharge. Unlike traditional boarding, Lodge & Leisure isn’t just about where a dog sleeps, it’s about how they spend their time. From quiet trail adventures to enrichment games that engage the mind, every moment is crafted to give dogs safe, positive experiences. For some, that means easing stress and building confidence; for others, it’s simply about joy, play, and discovery. Most importantly, this is not a loud kennel environment, but a calm, home-based space where dogs can truly relax and feel secure. 
 

At its heart, Fetch & Fable is a universe being filled with stories, each dog and family writing their own. Within it live the trails, the places for rest, the spaces for growth, areas for exploration and all the experiences still to come. Each pathway offers something unique: a winding walk through the woods that calms a restless mind, a quiet room where progress takes shape, a safe spot for dogs to recharge, or a shared moment where family bonds deepen. Every layer of Fetch & Fable is being designed with purpose, so that dogs and their people aren’t just meeting goals, they’re writing their own story of resilience, joy, and connection.

Fetch & Fable will continue to grow into a place where behavior change feels possible, where progress is nurtured in every corner of the land, and where every dog’s journey becomes a tale absolutely worth telling.
