Rachel McMichael
CDBC, CBCC-KA, FDM, CCDT

With over 20 years of professional experience, and a lifetime spent immersed in the world of dogs, Rachel McMichael has built a career around helping big-feelings dogs and their people reconnect, regulate, and thrive. She is one of the rare professionals worldwide to hold dual certification in canine behavior consulting through both the IAABC and the CCPDT, making her one of the most qualified behavior consultants in the entire region.

Rachel specializes in fear, anxiety, and arousal challenges. Her work is centered on emotional wellness, trust, and meaningful change that lasts. Instead of focusing on surface obedience, she helps families understand what is driving behavior so they can address the root, not just the symptom. Real change begins with meeting needs and building skills, not demanding compliance.

Rachel is a dually certified behavior consultant (a CDBC and CBCC-KA), and is also a Family Dog Mediator, CATCH Certified Dog Trainer, AKC CGC Evaluator, and Trick Dog Instructor. With a degree in Veterinary Technology as well, she considers the whole dog in every single case, including health, stress physiology, learning history, genetics and environment. Her approach blends enrichment, relationship building, and behavior science into clear, structured plans tailored to each individual dog.

Clients often describe her as grounded, perceptive, and deeply compassionate. They say she truly sees their dog, honors their story, and brings clarity and hope to situations that once felt overwhelming.

Whether you are just starting out or feel like you have already tried everything, Rachel offers more than training. She offers a steady path toward trust, connection, and a calmer home.
